About Us
Organized and incorporated in June 1985 as a water resources consulting
firm, John C. Halepaska and Associates, Inc. provides
services in mining-related hydrologic studies, surface water hydrologic
studies, ground water hydrologic studies, environmental studies, water
rights, adjudications, and expert testimony to mining, municipal, and
industrial clients.
The JCHA management team includes engineers, geologists, geochemists, and hydrologists
who represent a diverse range of experience and credentials.
The American Consulting Engineers Council of Colorado has twice recognized
JCHA for Its outstanding project performance.
In 1994, JCHA was awarded the ACEC Colorado Engineering Excellence Award for
research related to the deep bedrock injection of excess surface water
to create a conjunctive use project that would maximize the beneficial
use of both limited surface water and ground water supplies.
In 2000, JCHA was presented with an ACEC Colorado Merit Award for its research
into an innovative water management project that included an off-stream
surface water supply reservoir, a water reuse plan associated with wastewater
treatment, and deep well injection.
In addition to being active in professional societies, JCHA personnel have also given presentations to serve organizations, planning departments, water authorities, and at professional seminars and conferences. Projects in which JCHA has been involved and expert opinions of JCHA personnel solicited by news agencies have been regularly featured in news articles.
We have extensive experience in providing surface and ground water-related
services throughout the United States and internationally, including the
Middle East, Canada, Australia, Central and South America. We pride ourselves
